I'm all for it tbh. Why shouldn't this change? Unless you people actually enjoy sitting at your computers pushing jump every minute. |

If you consider manually flying 30 jumps fun then that's fine by me, however I don't see why you should have to punish everyone else for not wanting to waste their time navigating high-sec gates. |

Have no doubt that even if you are present chatting or using the browser, it is the significant group who are AFK that will also be rewarded, and the balances that have worked since attended piloting was changed will be undone.
I appreciate your interest in having the game play closer to your ideals, but you in exchange must accept that compromises need to exist, since your ideals are in obvious conflict with others.
I don't understand how this is rewarding AFK play, manually flying is and would still be quicker and safer than auto piloting. |

Before this change, if manually piloting gets you there in 10 minutes, autopiloting gets you there in an hour. After this change, if manually piloting gets you there in 10 minutes, autopiloting gets you there in 25 minutes. Therefore, the change is irrelevant to people who are at their keyboard. It helps people who do not favor manual interaction (aka AFK play). It also makes AFK play less undesirable by making its time penalty softer. AFK play from farming, mining, botting, and other stuff is already one of the bigger problems with Eve's gameplay. We don't need to add autopiloting to that list.
I'm sorry, but how much damage do you honestly think that would achieve? Keeping in mind it might add a false sense of security to those auto piloting.

You mean besides making travel less of a bore? Being able to do more faster? |

Dedicating more time to something doesn't free it up. |

Travelling manually frees up more time to do whatever it is you were travelling to your destination for. Travelling via autopilot frees up more time to do things away from the game, while still getting to your destination. Choose your poison.
And it would be one of the highest crimes to tweak it abit for those wanted to invest in a faster autopilot? |
